A Few Days in North Carolina

Eric and I spent the past week hanging out in Durham with his family! His brother and sister-in-law had a baby last week so we drove down to see everyone.

It took a while before Eric would hold the baby.

One evening we went to downtown Durham for dinner.

The city has some deal with bulls and we saw this rad bike rack.

We ended up at Mellow Mushroom which was really good! They can easily veganize their pizzas and I built my own with spinach, artichoke hearts, peppers and tempeh.

I had an agenda while down south, find Topo Chico. After a few misses we found some at Food Lion!!!! I stocked up.

While in Durham we discovered that you can get your hair braided and taxes done at the same place! Now that’s some multi-tasking.

Before heading back to Philly we went to Raleigh to grab some lunch at The Remedy Diner. I ordered the Tempeh Tantrum, which is ranked one of the top 5 vegan sandwiches in America.

The sandwich was good, really good, but it has nothing on the tempeh club at Royal Tavern here in Philly.

Eric ordered the Reuben which he really liked as well.

The trip was a lot of fun and congrats to Eric’s family on the newest addition. I am really happy we were able to get down there for a few days.
