The Weekend

We finally got some snow of the weekend! It was only a few inches, but enough to make you want to stay inside and not do anything.
I finally got my butt off the couch because I had a hair appointment. I stopped on my walk up and grabbed some tea.

We take care of 2 stray cats and are always worried about them during the winter. We built a shelter for them this year and they seem to enjoy it.

Sunday we headed out to the suburbs for Eric’s bike team’s meeting. While all the boys headed out on a team ride, I went running with my friend Meg, who’s boyfriend is on the team with Eric. We weren’t familiar with the area, but it wasn’t too far from the Schuylkill Trail. We had high hopes of the trail being plowed, but it was covered in snow. We HTFU and went running on it anyways. 8 miles later I was feeling it. Trudging through snow is no easy feat.

Aw, those two are lucky to have you!

Philly always looks so picturesque when you post neighborhood pictures.

Yes, lucky cats! They have to be tough to make it through a New England winter.

Running in the snow wears me out too. I ran 9 miles on Saturday and was so wiped out the rest of the day. All I did was hang out on the couch.

  3. That is one FAT stray cat! I want him!

Are those the short little rain booties? Do you like them? I always see them online (but never actually on someone) and think they’re super cute!

Yes! They are the Loeffler Randall booties and I LOVE them. They are totally worth the price and I get a lot of wear out of them.
