Trenton Avenue Arts Festival

Saturday afternoon Eric and I rode our bikes a few miles north to check out the Trenton avenue Arts Festival/Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby.

They close down a street in Kensington and vendors set up along the way. But the big draw is the Kinetic Sculpture Derby and the famous mud pit.

The fish was definitely my favorite float of the day.

We somehow missed the mud pit (bummer!) but our friends at Cast & Salvage had a table set up so we hung out with them most of the day. They’re a local motorcycle shop and they have some really cool shirts available.

It was really hot on Saturday and I was really excited that Little Baby’s Ice Cream was there. You know you live in a rad place when vegan ice cream is readily available.

  1. Jesus of your vegan ice cream joint! That (and a vegan donut shop) are the two things Memphis is missing!

  2. Hahaha! I meant “jealous,” not “Jesus.”
