The CSA is Back

Our CSA started back up a few weeks ago and it’s been great having a variety of fresh veggies delivered each week.

We signed up with Lancaster Farm Fresh again this year (it’s our 3rd year!) and are still using the half share which seems to be great for the two of us. Before signing up we debating switching to a different CSA, just to change things up, but decided to stick with LFF because we have loved it in the past. If you are interested, Krista is using Greensgrow Farm and it’s been great to see her bounty each week!

It also seems like we are getting more of a variety early on then in years past. Maybe the mild winter helped with crops being able to go in earlier.

  1. So glad to hear you’ve had a great experience with LFFC. I did the half share with Greensgrow lat year and while I loved it, living in CC and driving to Kensington every other Saturday was not fun. I’m doing a half share with LFFC this year and I’ve totally loved it so far! Love that it’s all organic, too!

I joined a CSA over the winter, and am SO excited to get my first delivery this week!

I volunteer with this non-commitment csa and it’s pretty awesome because you can buy from a variety of farms and just choose what you want. In other words CSAs do rule!

GA! You got strawberries!? I had to pick my own last week in Plymouth Meeting. Totally worth it though. I got a TON of leafy things this week. Still working out my meal planner with it all. The scapes made some awesome pesto.

  5. Yay! I love my LFF CSA too. And you’re right– the veggies are so incredibly fresh, and I’m loving the fact that we’re already getting zuchini!
