The cross race I did on Saturday was actually part of a double header cross weekend. I only raced Saturday, because Sunday morning I was out the door at 5:30am to get a 16 mile training run in. Yea…
Sunday morning was really the only time during the week where I could run 16 miles. And I hoped that my legs wouldn’t be THAT tired after racing that I could do it. I also figured that running on tired legs will only make me stronger and will pay off during the marathon.
The run wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either. I spent most of the time running in the dark, without music, and just trying to stay safe.
I got home a little after 8, showered, ate breakfast, got ready, and Eric and I hopped in the car and drove back to Trexlertown so he could race again. I had alot of fun just spectating and yelling at our friends.
Eric did well once again, even with his tired legs and a faster course.
I got this photo of him ALMOST falling. Luckily he didn’t.
And before heading home we made a stop at Vegan Treats. They were sold out of donuts (sad face) but did have vanilla ice cream!! Oddly enough, the last time I had their ice cream was 1 year ago exactly. Weird. I immediately enjoyed my ice cream and we picked up a few things to bring home.
